I looked them up. Kyle Connor plays hockey; he was also drafted by Winnipeg last year (17th overall). Jake Travis and Landon Logan play baseball. Couldn't find a Cody Tyler, but Cody Tyler White is a professional bull rider.

I made up some prospect-ish sounding names.

Fun fact: The guys I made up have about the same chance of being NHL superstars as most of the actual prospects fans trip over themselves for.

Matthews and the two Finns are solid. I think this draft is actually going to be a very good one.

Ev, you usually have a good handle on the draft class. Who do you see us taking if we pick around the 10th spot?

Would be good if Nylander fell down a bit to us. Could be comical with his bros in Toronto.

Tyson Jost (C)
Clayton Keller (C/W)

Here are a few names that show up either in the 10th spot or that people have the Sens drafting in a different spot than 10th. Any read on these guys? In my 2-minutes of research, it sounds like Keller could be good. He's performing well in the USHL.

Yeah, this winning streak probably put the kibosh on Chychrun. Jost would be awesome though. Either one.

jost is an interesting name out there.

I hope the balls fall our way 27 days from today. We haven't had great luck picking in the top 10 but outside the top 3:

Lee (coulda had Kopitar, Marc Staal
Cowen (Kreider, Ellis, Palmieri)
Zibanejad (this one's close -- Scheifele, Brodin)

P.S. I did not realize that the Sens ever drafted two 1st overall in a row: Berard and Phillips. Berard, of course, would not sign so we traded him for Redden.

Zbad was fine in that spot. I don't know why you'd criticize that pick. Scheifele, if I recall, was an off-the-board pick.

You're always going to find a player that they could have drafted. I think that's a bit of a fool's errand.
