Great comeback, but tough to lose Turris. Ironman streak ova

Yeah. The cream rises to the top.

Funny how people had no issue with potentially trading Hoffman but the same people think Lazar is so grrrreeeeaat.

Well, you could see the Islanders were tired. Lucky goal to take the early lead, then Halak stood on his head. That second goal almost killed them, but thanks to a lucky penalty call (hey, they had it coming after all he ones the refs let go) and a late powerplay goal by -- who else, the Hoff -- the Sens got to play another OT game.

Tavares was dead when Ryan stripped the puck from him and raced in on a 2-on-1 with the Captain, who made no mistake with his third point of the game. Insane. How long before he catches Kane?

I may not have been advocating it but I did see the logic in trading Hoffman. He's proven he is not a flash in the pan. They're not going to trade him now, though. He's still an RFA but he will get paid. He is not only leading the team in goals, his confidence is starting to lead the team, period.

Tough break if Turris is out for a long stretch (he's pretty durable, so keeping fingers crossed, but that looked bad). If he's out, I'd have no issue giving the 'A' to Hoffman.

Karlsson says Turris injury isn't as bad as first feared

Phew!

The initial x-rays on Kyle Turris indicated no broken bones. #Sens

What??! He got up on his own and was putting some weight on it, if there was a chance it was broken, does the guy not have any pain threshold?

He clearly wants to play every game. I half-expected he would be back on the ice after going to the dressing room.

Man I hope Turris isn't out long-term!

Karlsson hitting 32 points means the only other Sens defenceman during EK's career to have produced more than EK has in his first 26 games is Gonchar with 37 in 2011-2012. Kuba also had 32 that year.

I expect Ottawa to have a bit of a let down tonight after the emotional W on Thursday. That said, we can still win since we're pretty much the best. I expect Matrix to steal the show.

Damn it feels good to be right (again).

Halak was amazing and we still found a way to win. I hope people recognize just how much Matrix is doing for this team. Spectacular, yet again.

Karlsson's in the Hart conversation.

Dammit, Detroit came back, tied it with under 2-1/2 minutes on a PP goal, won in it OT. Sens still in third. But they are now 8 back of Montreal with 2 in hand. Hmmm.

Ill repeat on every GDT. One good D away from a long playoff series.
Notice how dominating we are on 3on3 when it's all skill

Karlsson is 3 back of Benn/Seguin, with a game in hand. He's scored 3 points in each of his last 2 games, so he's got a chance. Kane will slow down soon enough. Streak will be over tomorrow against the Jets, a late afternoon game. Calling it now.

Hoffman is crazy. He must have had 10 attempts on net with a couple breakaways and key goal.

He needs to work on his defensive game.

Karlsson is on pace for a 100 point season. When's the last time a D man did that?
