Hoffman is more of a specialist...and he hasn't been able to really create much in the first two games.  Not surprised to see him bumped back either.  Gotta try something.  Keep him on the PP.

I have made my feelings pretty clear as well as my opinion but right now it isn't too late to put Anderson in if they believe he's ready for this. This is probably more of a Murray move than a Cameron move IMO and fair enough.

When the showed Murray on TV after the OT goal in game 2, it really did look like he said "Cussing Andrew Hammond". Laughing3

As you said, NEELY, it's not too late to salvage the series. This is a ballsy move...but if you wait until it's 3-0, then you're pretty much doomed anyway.

Again they have nothing to lose right now and if we are looking at it objectively (which I hate because it sometimes kills my points and opinions) Anderson has been here 4 seasons and won a playoff round for the Sens in the past, he is no less worthy of a game 3 start than Hammond at this point.

The other side of the coin in you know Hammond will be there supporting this team 100% and will be a good soldier.

Look at Hoffman objectively too though. Speed + elite level shot. Let him loose with ZBad and Ryan and hope to Dung they can bottle some of their former magic. Or move Ryan to with Legwand, or even move Lazar down and put Ryan there.

I want to see the duo as ZBad and Hoffman for a game, letting Ryan roam a bit because he's not getting it done - at all.

The problem is we don't have any scoring depth currently. I think Puempel would still be in the lineup if he was healthy. The only legit offensive RW we have right now is Stone, and he can't shoot. The left side is a little better off, but beyond the guys already playing (Hoff, 9mm, and Mac), there's no one to sub in to provide any offense. We're just hamstrung right now by injuries and slumps.

Montreal's forwards are not better.
Fact is we need to stop choking and play with more serenity and we should be winning the next couple of games.

People are saying Hoffman needs something better than 4th line minutes but he has done a thing with a second of those 4th line minutes and that's a problem. There are lots of 2nd line, PP specialist available all around the league.
