So I fell in love last night, his name is Tom Wilson. That's exactly the type of player Ottawa is lacking right now and the day they add that type player is the day they will cause teams to back down and fold.

Calgary is incredible.  Love the way they're playing.

Miller came in for Lack after the 1st period and played really well...I guess he'll probably start the next game. Hiller was awesome for Calgary...Vancouver's one goal was a lucky bounce.

Patches hasn't really done much. Need to take out Price and anyone who stands in the way (blocking shots and closing shooting lanes). A few high slappers around the head/shoulder area would help to open up some of those shooting lanes. And some consistent -- no, persistent -- "net presence" will help in bringing Price down to the level where we need him.

Habs fans seem to saying lately that Karlsson's injury by The Cooker was an exaggeration. Perhaps "Patches" could use the Cooke on Karlsson treatment? Price too, maybe?

that's who I wanted at the draft. And we could have had him. But his upside isn't great

Meh, upside is everyone is afraid of him and they are. Tom Wilson is an absolute nut show on the ice and by all accounts and from what I have seen a pretty level headed kid off it. He can probably score 20 at the NHL level but that's more than enough production for a guy who can change the game on his own... like last night.

We had to pass on Wilson (and Hertl) because we couldn't possibly pass on Ceci Cesuperstar!

158 points in his last 3 years in the OHL (200 games) means Ceci will likely find his feet offensively in the NHL soon - perhaps as soon as next year and that'll add a badly needed component to our team.

That or we keep blaming whoever is on the left when that pairing doesn't play up to snuff.

I really like that 2nd pairing as is... don't think anyone around here is trashing anyone on it. Wiercioch still doesn't get enough love though because he just doesn't do anything at an exceptional level, just solid all around and getting better.
