We'll see but "playing well" is relative. We'll see how well they play against teams that have a little something to play for whether that's a playoff spot or jobs on their respective clubs. Hardest games to win at this point for the Sens will be the Buffalo's, the Washington's, and the Panther's. All teams with something to lose.

Without Mitchell and Voynov they are overrated. Overall team D is quite good (Sutter) but the current D corps is not elite, good enough, but not elite like the talking heads like to say.

I'm fine with trading whoever as long as it makes sense...I think Anderson could get something real nice as we get closer to the deadline. We just need a couple real significant injuries (say, to Rask, Miller, Fleury, or other prominent #1 goalies), and there could be a bidding war for Matrix .
If the org decides to call it a season and give the net to Lehner full time, then I would send Anderson to Edmonton. Get a couple of picks (2nd and 3rd or something since they can't draft anyway). Kills two birds, hurts us this season and might get Edmonton some wins.

I think I want legitimate prospects/roster players or a 1st rounder for Anderson. I feel like we should be able to get a good wing/defense prospect/player for Matrix , but I could be out to lunch.

Even with the coaching change the team is still dysfunctional. I mean, how do you make Zibanejad a healthy scratch after a 4-point game?

The team still has no identity which is an issue, what are they? Right now all you can say they are is young, inexperienced, and inconsistent. Even up top they have no clue what kind of team they are other than they believe they are a "playoff team".

Honest to God I can't wait to see the attendance come as early as Jan. I would bet they have trouble drawing 16,000 on most nights going forward.
