MPS would be a decent player to add to Ottawa's roster IMO. A guy who can be a shut down specialist in the mold of an Axelson. I have always liked MPS as a player, his upside was never that high though and hopefully he can find the right role somewhere and if he's part of a Spezza deal then cool.

They wouldn't move Sobotka.

Don't think so, but I read M_Christopher tweet that out though. No idea if he's connected.

Very real chance if #sens move Spezza to #blues - Berglund, Paajarvi and Shattock or Hakapaa is the targetted return. Stance on draft fading

If that's the return for Spezza move him to Anaheim lol.
NEELY wrote:Nothing wrong with Paajarvi at all, just needs to be developed in a role and that will be a defensive winger who plays a north south game and can score some ugly goal. Good throw in with any type of deal and if you move a guy like Greening with Spezza that could be a player that comes onto that 3rd line and excels. A lot of if's there though so w/e.
Berglund I like, Rattie is meh, 1st would be fine (bottom 3rd).... Ottawa's best partner is Anaheim and that's where I hope they deal him.

The rest of the hockey world knows what kind of players succeed in the playoffs.
He certainly doesn't succeed on the score sheet. Under a 0.5 PPG player in the playoffs, so his offensive production takes a drop after the regular season.
Plus he's a diver.
Get with the times, Rager. Offensive production is irrelevant in the playoffs.
NEELY wrote:Who knows... I wouldn't trade Greening either in all honesty, maybe you move a guy like Condra along with Spezza... there is going to be a lot of turn over up front in the next 6 weeks.

You'd be hard-pressed to find the last team to win a Cup without a legitimate No. 1 center on the roster. It rarely (if ever) happens.
Chris Gatti @cwgatti
@DFriedmanOnNYI Stasny will be a Ranger.
Daniel Friedman @DFriedmanOnNYI
@cwgatti Either him, or maybe they trade for Thornton or Spezza.
