It will be a quantity for quality deal and that's what the Sens need.

shattenkirk would be sweet. i could get behind that but i'd rather have someone else than berglund. not that i don't want him but i'd start asking for someone else.
tarasanko, rattie, shattenkirk
for spezza and wier.

That would be a coup.

seriously some of these proposals are nuts. At best you'll get what a guy like Vanek got at the start of the year, Matt Moulson.

I think someone over pays for Spezza based on what happened in the West.  Both St.Louis and Dallas are close, they need a guy to put them over the top for sure.  Anahiem needs another option up the middle and may pay to get it.  Colorado is also close.

We'll see but I think Spezza goes for more than what Vanek did.

And potentially the 2015 1st overall draft pick?  Count me in.

ya I could see spezza going for more then vanek. just for the fact that he's a goal scoring center and playmaker over a winger. the demand for those is higher. plus with vanek everyone and their mothers knew it would be a rental as he'd try and sign in Minnesota, with spezza there's a good chance they can negotiate a contract before they agree to a trade. more value.

You are probably looking at something like Berglund, Rattie, and a 2014 1st for Spezza.  Maybe they can snag Shattenkirk our of there if they send a guy like Wiercioch back with Spezza as well.

So yah, Spezza  Wiercioch for Berglund, Rattie, Shattenkirk, and 2014 1st will be pretty close if indeed he becomes a Blue.

That's a deal I would be happy about for sure.

be prepared to be pleasantly surprised by more. sure the guy has his downfall but there's a lot of teams that would love him on board in a supporting role and it won't be just one team going after his services.

Really? They have Lazar, Da Costa, Pageau, Stone, Hoffman likely in the lineup next year. If anything, they need to move some bodies. Mind you, we could be losing the entire 2nd line plus Kassian and perhaps more.

as was said earlier......We have too many complimentary players already....some are even over hyped at complimentary IMO. If they trade a guy like Spezza, its going to be for something can turn into more than a second liner in the future.

St Louis is ready to win now no doubt, and would like a more proven talent than another young guy in the line up, but I just don't see them wanting Spezza, can't see how he would fit their game...

I think you saw the blues trade the only two they deemed expendable at the deadline.

But Ott may be had.......in a package of course

The rights to Ott would be nice as a throw in, unless they plan to keep him.

St.Louis' "game" hasn't got them passed the 2nd round so their "game" may need to change if they want to compete with the teams like LA and Chicago.  St.Louis doesn't have enough top end talent to win and that was just proven.

I know most of you don't like Spezza.. but they are trading him for a couple of plugs either..

It should cost a top 4 D or a top 6 forward ++.

IF there is more than 1 team inquiring -- then you could get that price..
