NEELY wrote:Good, he's an idiot.

In a league full of idiots he stands apart. Not too many throw an elbow at an official.

Thing is, he doesn't get paid for post-season games so this doesn't cost him anything. Doesn't really cost the Rangers either (it's not like his presence in the lineup prevented Prust from knocking out Stepan).

If they want post-season suspensions to be more meaningful they should fine them the amount of money the suspension would have cost them during the regular season.

2 games for Prust. About right for once, I guess that tool Shanny really isn't in charge anymore.

Oil Kings take two against Val d'Or. SportsNet. Third period action with the Kings hanging on by one. They'll never win the Cup with Jarry in goal.

Geez, Val d'Or ties it up in the last minute. The way Jarry is playing the Oil Kings just have to block shots and not take chances. Not saying that goal was his fault but he's been very shaky even if he did make some really nice saves. They had a 2-goal lead! Goal with juts over 2 to go in the second, then the tying goal in the last minute of the third.

If they win in OT and get to the Final, that's not going to be anywhere near enough.

I only saw the 3rd period and OT.  Habs had a couple lucky goals there to win, and the Rags equalizer late was lucky.  Tokarksi was really good...if he keeps that up, the Habs has a long shot of winning.

Prust should probably get one game since the hit was late and there was no penalty on the play.

It appeared to me that the Rangers completely lost their focus after the non-call on Prust.. 2 games is a joke. He should be gone for 4 -- which would guarantee he doesn't play any more in this series..

Our champion sends his team to the Memorial Cup Final with the GWG in Triple OT.
The way he got open to get that deflection was beautiful to watch.

Yeah, LeKing, you beat me to it.  The Edmonton Oil Kings and Val D'Or play the longest game in Memorial Cup history in the semi-finals, going to triple OT.

Curtis Lazar with the game winner coming on a deflection.  What does the kid do as soon as he scores the goal?  Before his teammates can mob him, he skates down to his goalie so they can celebrate with the netminder that just held them in the game.

He's interviewed right after the game before leaving the ice on Sportsnet.  What does he do first?  Credits Val D'Or with a great game.  What does he do second?  Pays tribute to a dead ex-teammate, Kristiāns Pelšs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kristi%C4%81ns_Pel%C5%A1s).

The kid is just awesome.
The final against Guelph is Sunday at 4pm EST.  Great lead in to the Habs game.

Just finished the triple OT on delay. Lazar comes through again. Wow! Loved his interview. They broke curfew with the triple OT, so he says they should expect a bag skate.

Jarry was excellent in the 2nd OT. If he can play like that on Sunday, who knows. If they win it'll be special.

That grin, though.

The WHL Championship is nice, but it's no Spengler Cup.

Then, again, I bet Lazar will do much better in Milk ads. That smile.

Stepan had surgery and they inserted a plate to stabilize the broken jaw.

How the hell did they miss it the first time? The guy finished the game!

One thing we do know is that one of the Sens prospects will win the Memorial Cup.

Lazar for the Oil Kings
Harpur for Guelph.

Pulling for Lazar. It's a huge task to take on Guelph. They have been dominate throughout the tournament. But anything can happen.

Eleven periods of hockey in two days. That's a lot. The Storm have been sitting around waiting. One game, who knows.
