Trade Deadline BONANZA 2014

That pretty much seals it IMO lol.

One more time I don't think Spezza is traded at the deadline but he has for sure asked for a trade. Basically Spezza's agent saying "we haven't been asked for a list" is like saying "we asked for a trade and Murray is exploring the options and if he comes back to us with a team we like, we will waive".

As I said months ago, I think he ends up in Colorado on or before deadline day.

Again why are you saying he requested a trade, it's stupid to suggest given we don't know

Why would Colorado need or want Spezza with Duchene, McKinnon, O'Rielly? All 3 are better players lol

Speculation on my part for sure but this is basically from the play book of players who have requested a trade. GM is furious rumour leaker, agent saying we haven't been asked for anything, media saying "we are right". Spezza either asked or Murray did and I can't see Murray asking Spezza to use that NTC unless Spezza and the coaching staff are totally at odds which has been the case for 10 years.

Or he's looking to see what's out there. Nobody has asked anybody anything yet according to everyone.

You don't explore without either wanting to move someone or being asked to explore. Aside from my speculation this story has legs which is good.
