Can't see a Spezza trade going down now. I assume it would require a top 3 Dman coming back or a big, young winger like voracek - and who's moving those at a deadline? Not contenders likely, so what's left? A bubble team acquiring a year and a third rental at c but giving up a big player in return? Doubt it.

People are seriously insane lol. That said I bet Vancouver does try and pry Spezza out of Ottawa if they move Kessler but it wouldn't be for Kessler.

To me, a trade that makes a ton of sense would be to the Jets for Byfuglien.

On Spezza, he still has a NTC and he would have to waive basically today if it were to ever happen. This is basically how the Rick Nash thing started and he was traded in the summer.

Well he's right, a draft pick isn't something that would interest the Sens. You can only have so many border line NHL prospects lol.
