I would say ONE of Lee or Zubov + 2nd and maybe some other prospect. If we take Gerber, the second becomes a first like I said before.
If I am Ottawa this year, I would give up Zubov + Gerber + 1 for Toskala. The Alfredsson window is closing...
I have no problem with that. Zubov isn't really necessary any more as Regin, Foligno, Smith, Winchester, Petersson and O'Brien can hopefully fill the offensive void behind Heatley and Spezza in the years to come. We have 2 1sts in the draft so losing one doesn't bother me, and obviously Toskala is a significant upgrade over Gerber.
Unfortunately, I doubt Fletcher is at all interested in making a deal trading away VeTo/Loss-Kala, especially to a division rival.

You think that's enough though? I think it's a definite first rounder and I think the Sens are forced to take Bell if they want to rid themselves of Gerber.
Almost the same trade as the Leafs originally made:
Toskala
Bell
for
Gerber
Zubov (pipe dream IMO, they'd want someone like Smith)
1st
Sens are like 500K below the cap (before they waive Bell).

Smith? Jason Smith? Are you saying the Leafs would want Jason Smith? I seriously doubt that.

We upgrade in goal, swap dud contracts, and essentially acquire a 'tender for a prospect and a pick.
Then again, when Huet was traded for nothing and Khabibulin could be had so cheaply, it is a relative overpayment.

I hope he doesn't turn out to be another Hamel. High scoring in the minors, but too small for the NHL.
Whatever happened to that Tyler Donati (sp?) guy?
