I'd hate to see Zubov go with Elliot. Both are considered NHL potential prospects (unlike Hennessy, trade him quick!!)

Maybe Nikulin and Elliot. Murray doesn't seem like the type to overpay.

Just for amusement, I thought you'd like to know that I tried out some trades in NHL 09, using Toronto as my team. I was able to get Nash, J. Staal, Bouwmeester, Cheechoo and Bobby Ryan.

But the funny thing was I tried to do Ottawa a favor and offer them Toskala all for the low Price of Gerber and a 1st and they rejected it.

i was able to trade a 1st, 2nd and Fisher for zetterburg

I just made some deals with Ottawa (by the way I'm still waiting for the roster updates before finalizing a dynasty, so I'm just playing around with trades right now, seeing what I can do).

I traded Spezza for Nash, straight up (Spezzas' 92 > Nash's 89)

I tried Spezza for Getzlaf, even offered a first rounder as well and no deal.

I ended up getting Horcoff and Schremp for Vermette + 1st, and...

Toskala for Gerber + 2nd.

What do you guys think it would take to get Rick DiPietro out of Long Island?

I think I'd keep Vermette over Horcoff.

I would say ONE of Lee or Zubov + 2nd and maybe some other prospect. If we take Gerber, the second becomes a first like I said before.

If I am Ottawa this year, I would give up Zubov + Gerber + 1 for Toskala. The Alfredsson window is closing...

I have no problem with that. Zubov isn't really necessary any more as Regin, Foligno, Smith, Winchester, Petersson and O'Brien can hopefully fill the offensive void behind Heatley and Spezza in the years to come. We have 2 1sts in the draft so losing one doesn't bother me, and obviously Toskala is a significant upgrade over Gerber.

Unfortunately, I doubt Fletcher is at all interested in making a deal trading away VeTo/Loss-Kala, especially to a division rival.
