All need new contracts, all of them have played exceedingly well. Lehner's the best, but getting 3 guys via trade/free agency that move this franchise in the right direction was really big. Love Mac, love Ryan, love Methot.


On a side note, is it odd that the Sens might have the perfect guy to come in as assistant on the bench and help the D in Luke Richardson? But they really can't afford to take him away from developing the Bingo players. Odd scenario.

Don't think he gets anywhere near that from Ottawa.  If he's taking a 3 year deal as a 36 year old hockey player with minimal amount of NHL skill... he's getting around 2 per.

And Lehner signing a 7 year deal? lol, no chance. It will probably be 3 x 3. Lehner isn't going to lock himself into a long term deal like that.

Yeah, it's always been wishful thinking with Lehner. That's probably more in line, 3 X 3, then the huge, Rask like deal of 7 million.

As for Phillips, I don't know if it'll be here, but someone will gladly pay him 3 X 3 IMO. He might settle for 2.5 X 3 here, but why would a competent, stay at home D-man settle for a penny less than that for his final contract?

Greening's a nice piece for the Rangers.  It would have to be Greening plus a much more attractive piece than Gryba, but Greening's a good start IMO.

I wouldn't say DZ is worth a lot really. Greening plus a 2nd. That's about it.

Which Del Zotto is not.

Don't really want to trade Condra personally. Great PKer, cheap contract, decent 5 on 5. I dunno....not my first choice at all.
