This is the game they were all looking ahead too. This is why they haven;t played well. You get this game out of the way, get a W, and they will be gold. GOLD.

They don't want to admit it, but this game has been on their minds for a while.

I would say Ryan has been our best forward with Turris so it's basically the same scenario as it would be with Alfie. Maybe they have an extra point or two but the schedule is killer with or without Alfie.

Well in their French press release, they talk about Pageau...but don't say they sent him down.

L’athlète de 6’2’’ et 211 livres de Huddinge, en Suède, a terminé au quatrième rang des marqueurs des Sénateurs la saison dernière avec 20 points (sept buts, 13 aides) en 42 matchs de saison régulière avec Ottawa.

Les Sénateurs reprendront l’action mercredi en rendant visite aux Red Wings de Detroit, au Joe Louis Arena à 19 h 30.

Yeah, this was the toughest beginning to a season I've ever experienced as a fan. Not only are you playing contenders in the West, but away and at times back to back. Killer schedule.

Now...we play those same behemoths - most of whom are playing very, very well - at home. Not exactly getting too much easier.

They won't. It's a waste of money and a waste of development for Pageau.

Having guys that can come into the lineup at any time makes everyone work a little harder. Having Kassian ready and willing isn't going to change a whole lot. If they feel Pageau needs some more time in the AHL then that's the call of the organization and based on what's best for Pageau. I don't like the fact they are not willing to carry 23 players though and I think that may indeed be a cost saving measure, there's no reason not to.

Oh, I agree with that. Cussing Melnyk is a pain in the arse with his money problems. I'm a huge fan of Pageau, so if they keep him up to make sure guys are kept honest, then I trust our coach to work with him.

Either way...doesn't matter to me what they do. Pageau is not far away if he's sent down. He should be learning the wing as well.

Right now though I would agree Zibanejad being in the lineup does make the Sens a better team than Pageau being there and you just hope there is added motivation that will continue on his end. Hopefully the message was sent.

i doubt it stays that way. that 3rd line hasn't been productive enough to be kept the way it is now.

Sounds like a little wear and tear on Pageau and players don't lose their spot based on injury (for the most part). Sounds like Zibanejad will have to impress to stay up.

You sure Pageau isn't tired?
