And he might not come back although he will keep working with the charities here?

Really weird.

Friedman was speculating there might be some rift between Alfie and management I wonder if he was right.

I wonder if they'll give him that front office job when he retires.

No way.

Hope we kick you new team's Donkey and that we make you highly regret this bad decision. It's just a game.

We'll see how his (former) team mates feel next time we lineup against Detroit. Neil will catch him cutting across and we'll see if he lets up or not.

Something doesn't smell right for sure. Should have never come to this but it looks like a future in Ottawa isn't in the cards after hockey either.

Sounds weird how he suddenly decided to uproot his family and move to Detroit.

Ian Mendes says "for the season."

I also don't get why he chose Detroit over Boston, that's even weirder.

Murray says that he told Alfie the Ryan trade was in the works...this cuts deep. My best to Alfie, but I think he might've actually made the wrong choice here.

Murray did say that the first offer from Alfie camp was too high, and the sens rejected it. Wonder if that ticked off alfie into re-thinking his future?

So Alfredsson is moving his whole family to Detroit? That's insane for one year IMO.

you can say it... Alfie Cussed up. Fact is he doesn't believe in the Sens organization right now so screw him, hope Neil puts him through the glass on "his way to the cup". Hopefully we play Detroit in the playoffs and break his frigging heart. Humble him hard.

You don't do that unless you don't plan on being in the same city. I would bet the go back to Sweden when it is all said and done.

A little harsh, but can hardly blame you. It'll be interesting to see how the team reacts. Like I tweeted, this may be the time where the team finally grows up. Their "dad" just showed exactly what he thinks of them -- "Probably not".

One of those people that don't have money is a part-owner in the Coyotes.

I've been saying this whole team the team needed to move on from Alfie if they want to become a Cup team. Not because he isn't good, they just need their own identity. This is a blessing in disguise.

Is Alfredsson realyl gonna be proud of winning a Cup (they won't, but bear with me) as a, what, 4-5th most important player? Not a fan of guys taking the easy route coming for a Dung team. This is even worse
