900k for Corvo? Holy Dung. Fair enough!

Nothing says "Budget Edition" like inking Joe Scorevo for 900k.

It's almost like we had a hole to fill on our roster and tried to fill it as cheaply as possible...while not signing a total waste of space.
I'll withhold judgement on Corvo...on MacLean's team there is great potential he can actually be useful.
“Let’s just say I’ll be looking for him right off the bat,” said Corvo. “I’m not [happy]. Two days I’ve been walking around with a headache. Just because I didn’t lay down on the ice and get carted off and miss a period . . . I don’t know . . . it doesn’t mean that it wasn’t a cheap shot.
“In my opinion he saw my numbers and took the opportunity to seek revenge for the game prior when we were at home. Hopefully he’s a man and he’ll step up tomorrow when I come after him. I’m not going to try and hurt him, but I want to fight him.”

They obviously want Wiercioch to take that #4 spot and not give it up, Corvo being in Ottawa makes sure he stays honest because I would bet Corvo is looking for another contract after this season as well. Hell, there is no chance he will be worse than Lundin.

Are you suggesting Wiercioch playing the right side? Or Cowen. If WP is #4 then one of them has to play their off side.

Don't think there is a chance he comes back without a 1 way deal. Sens have soured on him without question. My guess is he ends up in the KHL or Swiss league.
Mike McMahon @MikeMcMahonCHN
European teams, specifically Swiss league, are interested in former Merrimack forward Stephane Da Costa, who is a RFA with Ottawa.

Oh well...Corvo will be our PP specialist and play ~8 minutes of ES a night I would imagine. Still a great signing for the $$.
