Also, this time around it will help having some goaltenders that can actually make up for a mistake of gaff from Corvo or anyone else for that matter. Just has to come in and fit in, that's it.

Still...an bunghole
through and ghrough

You know who's a bigger bunghole?

Don Brennan ‏@SunDoniB 20m

Senators have signed UFA D-man Joe Corvo. You're hearing it hear first. #nhl #sen

If Brennan wants to waste his time on the #6, 7 D man he should just let him. Pretty sure the majority of his articles this year will be ripping into Alfie who probably deserves a bit of it.

Corvo is the #4 d-man on the team now.

So it mustn't be a joke since it's been posted to the Sun website.

1-year deal.

Very much the 5, 6, 7 guy. I think they want Wiercioch to be that #4 guy but have Corvo just incase he slips up a little. Fact is bringing in Corvo for a year doesn't do anything to hurt the room or the younger players trying to find a full time spot in the lineup, it's a good move.

Yep, don't mind this one at all. He will keep Gryba working hard and challenge Wiercioch all year long. Pair him with Phillips and Cowen with Gryba, switch up those pairings as needed. Probably got him for cheap, too -- $2-3 mil.

No way is he making 2-3 mil. I will say 1.25.

White would have been a better choice but I guess he wanted term.

Just a move where it will keep all the kids honest. Corvo will always be ready to play so the kids better make sure they are too. I like the fact Murray won't let anyone get comfortable.

I don't live his defensive game, but he'll be good on the PP for sure. This team looks good right now.

Maybe. After the year he had in DET, tho', I'd say he just wants a 1-way deal.

The one thing that is super noticeable going into next year vs the one that just passed...

Daugavins
Gonchar
Alfie
Silfverberg
Regin
Da Costa

All gone. Not one Euro brought back into the mix. I don't think that is some weird out of this world event either.

Is Dacosta actually gone?
