Gonchar has lots of hockey left and obviously the will to play. Sens may walk away from it but they will absolutely consider it. He was a huge reason the Sens had the season they did and was pretty solid aside from the last couple games in the playoffs.

Do they or don't they...? Giving Gonchar 2 years is probably the timeline they have for Ceci to be in the NHL as well. Makes sense and it won't break the bank.

So it seems Spezza tore an MCL during his back rehab... needs it to be scoped. That would explain his set back... man, they should have just shut him down at that point.

I'm glad he did it because it shows people like me what he is willing to do for the team and the Sens. That's part of being a captain.

Will be interesting to see what happens. He'll get a deal somewhere for sure. Would not be surprised to see him back in Pitt. I would not mind him back in the Sens uni either, for the right price.

Hopefully it's an easy scope and he won't miss anything. Props for him to give it a go to help the team.

Mendes tweeted that it was his meniscus. Pretty significant difference. You don't tear an MCL and miss an additional 3-4 weeks. You have surgery and miss 6 months.
