Once The Alfie retires, Phillips or Spezza will get the C. Then the As will go to Philly/Spezz (whoever is not the C) and Karlsson. After Philly/Spezz, Karlsson will be the Captain. No doot aboot it.

Phillips probably won't get the C. He's what, 35 now? He may have one or two seasons left. He'll get passed over, IMO.

I believe he's already slated to be in the healthy scratch/7th D rotation for next season.
