Because Spezza went to some doctor in Toronto who probably doesn't even return his calls, much less go out on the ice with him. Dr. Chow's post-op care can't be beat. He doesn't just make house calls, he gears up and takes slapshots from you.

Some people are just bandaids

Again, unfair. Some people just heal up quicker, some are more tolerant to pain. Spezza wants to get back on the ice but for some reason -- be it mental or physical -- is unable to do so. And I don't think it's pain related either -- if the doctor told him there was nothing he could do to worsen his condition, and it was only pain, I'm sure they could find plenty of options for him to consider.

Yeah..Spezza will probably always have that fear of re-injuring it.

Does Spezza have a tendency to injure himself? Yes.
Does Spezza have long recovery times? Yes.

Not sure how it's even debatable at this point. What kind of pain he is in or what he can play through, not my place or anyone else's to say but the guy doesn't know how to stay healthy consistently.

they could get him a new jersey though

The Gene used up the budget giving a sweater to Vicky Ménage or whoever the Diddle it was.

But that isn't his fault.

No, I think I get NEELY's point. He's just being blunt -- the guy is a band-aid. It's not Regin's fault, either, but I don't want him playing on this team any more as I don't see him adding *anything*. At least Spezza, when he does play, will generate offense.

Not someones fault they were abused when they were a kid either and it carry's forward... doesn't mean it isn't the way it is.

Yah, it sucks but c'est la vie man. Spezza is injury prone and him being 30 and perhaps unable to continue playing healthy hockey the rest of his career, Sens may need to do something about it.

Sounds like they are doing something about it with developing Zibanejad and Turris. I don't know if ZIbby has first line center potential, but it certainly isn't Turris....

The only way you "do something about it" is to trade him...and the only point to trading him, I think, is if we were in salary cap trouble...which we're not. So, even though he's a $7M cap hit, you hang on to him and hope for health...because when he's healthy, well..last year he was 4th in the NHL in points.

As long as he does have Silfverberg and maybe another top line winger on his side, he should be able to become a top line center.

I'm not talking about the style of food, but the quality of ingredients. Meat and vegetables have better quality in Europe in general compared to anywhere in the world.

Indeed. Also they use mayonnaise instead of ketchup with their fries. Very sophisticated.
