Does Lehner start tonight and have Anderson face his old team on Sunday?

I think Matrix and Lehner certainly split these two games. Maybe give Lehner the game tonight just to let Matrix have a couple extra recovery days.

Seriously, there's no way we don't win this game. Buffalo sucks, and now they don't have notorious Sens killer Derek Roy and they are also without Jason Pominville.
They've been gutted... Sens gotta take advantage and get rolling into the post season.

They need to make a statement because combined with their lost two games this could be a slippery slope into the playoffs.

if Andy is ready... I say start him tonight and if he looks good and feels good, ride him. It's time to get serious.

You don't want to run the risk of reinjury though so close to the playoffs. It's a tricky situation, and all comes down to how Matrix says he feels. If he says he's "totally" recovered, than ya, ride him, and get him back to being the best goalie in the universe.

I want Lehner to get enough starts to get on the leaderboard.

By the way, Lehner only had 13 games at the NHL level prior to this season. Does that mean he is still a rookie?

NHL Rookie Qualifications:

"To be considered a rookie, a player must not have played in more than 25 NHL games in any preceding seasons, nor in six or more NHL games in each of any two preceding seasons. Any player at least 26 years of age (by September 15th of that season) is not considered a rookie."

Since Lehner has played in more than 6 games twice, he isn't considered a rookie.

Edit: Yes. He has to have played 25 or fewer, with no consecutive seasons of 6+ games (he had 8 two seasons ago but just 5 last year).

He also needs 12 games to be on the leaderboard, and he only has 9.

The second of those "more than 6" games is in this season. You cannot consider the current season's numbers to determine rookie eligibility (all those rookies who play 25+ games in their rookie season are still considered rookies).

From what I've read here shouldn't we be hoping Anderson gets waived or scratched until we can trade him in the summer?

Whoops, yeah, my bad. He only played more than 6 games once, not counting this year.

True. Tricky balance. It will come down to how he feels.

You think this is a good weekend to start Craig Anderson? He's 5-0-0 in last 5 starts vs BUF. And he's 8-0-0 in last 8 starts vs FLA.

Probably safe to say Andy starts
