depends what are their plans for Bryz after this season. he's doing alright for them now but....
they could use bishop for sure. But personally I would explore what they'd be ask for in exchange for simmonds.

Bishop has 27 NHL games (30+ minutes). Holmgren is on the hot seat because he threw truckloads of cash on a goalie that they probably have to buy out. There's no way he'll be allowed to make a trade for Bishop. Snyder will tell him to get someone like Luongo or make do with Bryzgalov.

Or...they acquire Bishop like....in a week and let Bishop push Bryz and perhaps even help him, while acquiring a new D-man who can actually play the position and hiring a real coach - someone like Ruff or even (gasp) Martin.

One way or the other, they have no goaltending prospects, no goalie right now and no one to push Bryz, no one to replace him with if they buy him out - and on and on and on. That team is a mish mash of players to begin with, might as well try to stabilize it from the net out.

I would never trade Wiercioch right now. Dude's looking like Karlsson Jr. out there and I biggest want has been for the Sens to have another EK-like D-man on the blueline. I'd like our opponents to have more than just 1 D-man to worry about (or no shut down EK for the win like the Rangers did last time in the playoffs).

No, not really.

Matt Read is ok, nothing special IMO, he's just part of a run and gun style. Those are the type of players you avoid, they can be found in a lot of places.

Andrew Cogliano is the type of player Read is. Cogliano is a player that Anahiem might part with after this season as well if they need to move salary. That's a guy the Sens could use.

I don't think Anaheim is parting with anyone to be honest. They need all the bodies they can get. Unless Selanne is the new Chelios

Yeah. And even when they do, Ryan is out of our price range. We need to be cool about losing Perry, it hurts badly, but Murray won't panic any time soon.
