Solid read about DD. That's a guy that scores a game 7 OT goal. I hope Murray and MacLean keep him around next year over a guy like Regin.

Andrew Hammond -- has played the last four years at Bowling Green State U.

Not sure how they signed him with 50 contracts (plus the ATO and three whose contracts are sliding since they are i junior). And does that mean anything to the Lehner/Bishop situation?

About the only position where they could use some depth for the AHL right now. This is a good signing to play behind Lawson because I don't think Lehner is going back anytime soon.

Ottawa's playing TOO well. We need to slip to 6th.

It would be nice if someone could surpass the Sens and into 5th for sure. 6th is where you want to be in the 1st round, no question. That said, Ottawa can be Montreal in a 7 game series.

Montreal's fate will lie in the hands of Price. He's been pretty good lately, but has had this habit of letting in one bad goal per game. In the playoffs, that becomes much more costly. We've basically been playing playoff hockey for the last 15 games or so, so I think we'll be one of the more mentally prepared teams for the playoffs.... Our playoff fate lies in the hands of Spezza I think. If he comes back and is close to 100%, he could be the difference maker in a series. A healthy Michalek would be a big bonus too, but I don't think we can expect that at this point.

With Turris coming around, and Smith filling in nicely, being able to slot Spezza back in would give the team such an offensive boost.

I also assume will be healthy come the playoffs...and I also assume he'll be in #beastmode.

Yeah. A first round date with Boston would not be fun. Hard to control those things. We'll see where it all ends up after 48 games.

These are all huge factors... getting Spezza and Anderson back, Turris starting to produce, Silf contributing huge, guys finding their role... not sure what is going on with Michalek. If he could join the party and be a healthy contributor, that would go a long way.
