LOL I was reading through it. Hilarious, so much salt in that thread.

MacLean is the hockey player whisperer. He puts in Bishop when everyone is screaming for Lehner. At the last second he puts in Regin who nearly wins it in OT before winning it in the SO.

Dammit, I got home (hear the winner on the radio in the car), wanted to watch the shootout and the recording cut off after round 3. I padded it 20 minutes, thought it would be enough.

I was hoping he would let in some softies and lose the game so we could see Lehner. *swoon*

Lehner vs flyers?

Roll with Bishop until he falters which doesn't look like it's going to happen. He's legit.

Ottawa has 3, #1 goaltenders, unreal.

As for that game last night, Ottawa had no business getting a point let alone the win... oh well. Like I said before, good luck is a BS excuse for anything going Ottawa's way because all that has happened to them thus far has been bad luck.

Oh, Dash if you're reading and we know you are... figure out what the difference is between Edmonton and Ottawa yet? There are a couple things, lol.

Not many teams, if any, can keep winning after losing their top forward, top d-man (in the nhl), top goaltender (in the nhl) and a handful of others... pretty incredible what we're seeing here right now.

They do now.

Not entirely their fault. Listening to Team 690 around 4:30 they previewed the game by saying the Sens had injuries to Mike Lundin and Peter Regin.

Apparently Regin marched into the coaches office and gave him the old "put me in coach" and young Mac was impressed and made the last-minute change.

Oh that they do! Laughing3
I was being blasted last night about my team having given up 44 shots on goal.
My response was pick your answer either Bishop is a great goalie or you're team is having great difficulties sending good shots on goals.
Ya, that shut them up.

Looks like Regin is back in form. That slapshot he rang off the post, I haven't seen that kind of shot from him since the playoffs against the Pens.

He made Price look like a fool in the shootout as well.

Regin is a good guy to simply have for depth because he can move in and around the lineup and play basically any position. There's value in that but man he has to stay healthy.

I'd say it evens things out considering the refs stole a goal from us against the Habs when they waved Benoit's goal off.

As for Edmonton, if you go to any Oilers blog or forum you'll see a lot of pissed off fans. The whole organization is just a load of failure from Tankellini right down to the coach. They have no idea what they are doing. And yes they are wondering how it is that we can win losing all our top players and they can't do Dung with all their #1 overall picks. Schultz is going to regret not signing with us.

Probably already does. He's a #1 D man there and he's been pretty good but in Ottawa he would have been a perfect fit on a cup contending team.

If he signed here he would be playing top pairing with Methot right now and on the top PP pairing with the best coach in the league and growing with an amazing group of guys.
Suck it idiot.

Yup, I think people are starting to believe that Edmonton won't be going anywhere without a goaltender, GM, coach, or depth in general.

He'd always be in EK's shadow(and thus less money), he'd never get much PP time either. Yes our organization is better but he figured the Oilers are on the up.

I never thought he'd sign with us on that alone, doesn't want to be overshadowed by #65

Having said all that, I hope we're sellers at the deadline because being the Big Dog on draft day is so awesome. Drool I love you

Pretty silly when all things are said and done. He would have been PP1 with Karlsson I presume and he would have taken over top pairing the second Karlsson was down. What happens? He goes to a team that doesn't have a clue.

At least we got to see Gryba in that role and assess him, but Diddle what a mistake by Schultz (IMO lol).
