Puck never stopped moving.

And here is Regin's winner. It almost looks like Price caught a rut or dug in too much pushing off with his right-skate, and couldn't get back over to his right.

Now, true, but it stopped moving forward.

Can anyone stop that shot ? Like Bishop said, you know it's coming and you know where he'll aim and it will still beat you.

Lundqvist (to his credit) actually got a piece of it. Brodeur and Price didn't even have time to react.

Price also got a piece of it, but it powered through his glove, like with Lundqvist. Amazing shot he has, all the same.

NHL clarified earlier this year that moving in general is all that is required. Does not need to specifically be moving forward towards the net.

So are we soon going to see someone put a puck on their blade, skate in and do a figure-skating spin, releasing the puck when the goalie has no way to expect it?

By cheating, or coming out further to cut down the angles. Of course if you do it too early he'll go around for a simple tap-in, and if you do it late the five-hole opens up. That release is a huge advantage. I dare say his wrister is going to be faster than Fisher's.

Daugavins almost had Price beat with a forehand deke, but didn't raise the puck, and Price barely stopped it with his right pad. It was a pretty solid attempt.

My buddy who works with the Sens says the webpage hits for Daugavins stuff goes off the charts around 6pm EST every night...or, when Latvia wakes up. Pretty funny.

The guys on the radio said it was the top end of his stick (as he sprawled on the ice, I would imagine). I'd love to see a video of that. I padded my recording 20 minutes and still missed it.

If you go to the nhl.com Web site, at the bottom of the video box there's a tab/link that says "SHOOTOUT!". If you click on that, you'll get a list of all the games that went to a shootout recently, with the option to see the full shootout for whichever game you want.

Thanks! Here it is:

Daug definitely had him beat if he just lifted it.
