yeah keeps me wondering what's up with him. feels a little tired or a step behind. could he have hurt himself in europe and been playing with it since? or is he just not that great without spezza.

right now michalek + for a signed Perry would be a good move. unfortunately the more i hear the more I think they're trying to re-sign both in Anaheim.

They wanted to resign them last summer. The question is do they want to resign ? If they do, why haven't they already ?

If Perry/Getzlaf doesn't want to resign, arranging a sign and trade would probably be Anaheim's best option.

E Staal was Karlsson's Wing Dang Doodle tonight though

Wait until Silf starts fully getting the offensive timing to his game. He's got a bullet of a shot and I think he could get off some crazy one timers playing with Karlsson and eventually Spezza.

Picture that kid with that shot getting open in the slot.

I wouldn't be open to moving Zibanejad anymore unless it was a fantastic deal.

Nobody moves anywhere unless it's a first line winger coming back. DaCosta looked good tonight except his long shift.

Dave Lewis , assistant coach in Carolina, said he thinks Karlsson is the best player in the league.

He's definitely in the mix with the other three. What we're seeing here is something possibly generational.

According to York, Kirk Muller agreed.

Interesting that that's now two ex Wings' coaches giving him props as the league's best player.

Simply unreal.

It's amazing how this team plays when they're firing on all(or most) cylinders. I think they're ever so slowly playing more consistently going back to last year.

Biggest difference is defence, Methot is so much better than Kuba it's not even funny.

I hope things start coming together with all the kids up.

And yes Da Costa is once again very impressive in his limited ice time, smart passes and takeaways and he doesn't seem as clueless defensively as last year.

I think we can all agree that we have some pretty incredible times coming as this team continues to mature.

We need Spezza, Jared Cowen and if Corey Perry comes here we will be the best team in the East next year. Maybe challenges Chicago.

One guy not getting enough love tonight is Regin. He was great today but too bad he can't finish (can be said for many guys today )

Time to rest Andy. I don't know where he was looking in that overtime clusterdiddle of a goal but he's starting to lose track.

I remember having a conversation with a couple of buddies who are leafs fans at the start of last season where they were comparing dmen for leafs and sens and raving about liles and phaneuf and Gardiner to which I proclaimed 'u know karlsson is better than all 3 of those guys combined...' to which they laughed of course.
