That sentiment is so dumb though. How many teams have an Erik Karlsson? None. Some of them have versions of him, but even then not too many. So why would you leave a Vezina caliber goalie floating in the wind? Why not try to get the Ponikarovskys of the NHL, limiting what you spend, but beefing up your team with 2 or 3 pieces of experienced NHL players who can at least help.

Why would you ice an AHL team when a tweak or two puts you back into contention for 8th. Diddle it, we don't even need a D-man, we're fine on D, we need a couple of NHL forwards. Enough with the hoarding of prospects and 4th round picks, it's a waste of a year of Craig Anderson frankly.

That said, it means spending some money and I gather Melnyk wants nothing to do with that.

There's gotta be hockey trades out there that make sense. The Avs are Cussed either way, if they trade him and they don't get a good return, that idiot Sherman is done. If they keep him and this gets even more ugly, Sherman is done. Bad scenario for the GM of that team because they should be a hell of a lot farther along than the Sens, and they most certainly are not.

Why would you give up anything of value for players that will not help this team make the playoffs or help beyond this year? Yah, they need some warm bodies for sure though and they will get them what they make some moves for the guys with value... the Klinkhammers of the world, the Poultny's, etc. Guys that will come in, provide the ability to loo k "meh" in the NHL and then they can send some guys back down to Bingo.

People are kidding themselves if they thing this Ottawa team has any chance of making the playoffs. Everyone knows it but no one will say it until it i sobvious. The only move that would make any sense right now and in the future is getting ROR.

Also, the Sens had the cake part of their schedule so it wasn't going to get any easier anyways.

Like I said in the other thread, really hope weircioch gets back into the lineup. Should replace one of benoit or Lundin. Clearly need some offense and will have our hands full with the devils tomorrow. At least he can give our powerplay some more room

I would also put Regin in. Take whatever offensive help you can get.

Except a bunch of games. And Lehner's confidence. He's getting killed down there. 12 goals in two consecutive games and he was in for all of them. I Richardson upset with him for some reason? I can't understand how he left him in for 7 goals unless he was trying to teach him a lesson.

Maybe the Devils can break him once and for all. I'm honestly tired of giving Regin chance after chance after chance. He's done nothing this year and got injured doing it. Even when he was healthy he was the smallest 6'2" forward we had.
