I refuse to put too much hope into the future until it's at the pro level. Tempering my expectations on everyone who isn't at least succeeding at the AHL. Though that is nice to see with brown

Englund, Chlapik, Dhalen as well.

McKenzie did his Sens season preview the other day on TSN. It does look promising.

Dahlen has 6 points in 8 games in the Swedish elite league. Such a nice start for him after having 29 points in 51 games last year.

yeah, if we're gonna talk Brown and his 14 points in 6 games, we should also talk Chlapik with his 14 points in 6 games.

I thought that if you picked up someone on waivers and ended up waiving him again they went back to their original club's farm team that waived them. That would make the most sense since if you didn't do that you could pick waived guys and just fill up your farm team.

Which is quite impressive since he didn't do that well last year.

I still stand that we should try pulkkinen. Some team is gonna pick him up. Guy has too much offense to go around.

“We received some good news regarding Curtis on Monday in that he has been medically cleared to take contact,” said Senators general manager Pierre Dorion in a press release. “Knowing that, we then met with the coaches and player and made the decision that the best and fastest way for him to get ready to both play and succeed in the NHL is for him to go to Binghamton. He’ll have the opportunity there to immediately play big minutes and in all situations, something that is necessary for him to get back into game shape.”

That does not sound like just conditioning. That sounds like they want him to develop his offencive game.

You can interpret that any way really. It sounds like they want him conditioned to return to my eyes.

It wouldn't hurt and would probably help Lazar to play down in Bingo for a while and earn his way back to the big club. Probably just conditioning though.

The way they mention they want him playing top minutes and want to get him ready to be able to succeed in the NHL, you have to read between the lines. They obviously don't see his development so far as successful. They want him to be a guy that can score and he hasn't shown any of that. He could easily be there for over a month. Personally I'd keep him there for longer say till the new year at least.

They're basically saying "we aren't demoting him" as they demote him. Meh. This is for the best.

It sounds *exactly* like a conditioning stint. Lots of minutes against the better opposition is a much faster way to get back in shape after mono than playing 4th line in the NHL.

It's also a great way to become the player he hasn't been able to become in the NHL so far. If anything you would think if it was just a way of him easing back into the alignment after suffering from mono he'd be ok on the fourth line. It's because they haven't seen him perform and this is the perfect excuse. There's been way too many rumblings this summer about Dorion thinking they rushed certain players for this not to make sense.
If anything I think Pierre so this as an opportunity to send him to bingo disguised in conditioning. Time will tell. I'm sure we'll be able to judge based on how long he spends down there. Any more than 5-6 games and it looks like they want him to develop and not condition. He would have likely only got 4-5 in pre season.

Bingo with the 3-0 shutout against Hershey tonight. Bailey with 2 goals. Perron had two assists. Driedger with the SO.

Hershey's backup is named Joe Cannata. Oh, and Lazar had 2 shots and was a plus one.

Bingo lost last night 3-1, but outshot their opponent handily. Lazar had a goal waived off, Perron had his first AHL goal.
