Craig "Pinkie" Anderson had me on the floor!

That's a great nickname.

I don't know if anyone posted the link to Yost's blog about why the Senators have a shot at winning the series, but here it is:

It is a very good read. His point about our propensity to take penalties and New York's inability to capitalize on the PP is excellent.

Carkner's size will hopefully be an asset versus some of the more physical Ranger forwards, but I'd definitely try to keep him away from the Gaborik line, as they can move pretty quick. Being on the road means MacLean doesn't have the benefit of matching lines off of faceoffs.

True, but would you rather a slower, but very physical player, who can at least try to box guys out, or Gilroy? I'll take the slow guy personally.

I think we need to have a Detroit-esque playoff ritual - throwing rubber chickens on the ice - in honour of Pinkie

Oh, definitely Carkner over Gilroy. Carkner is apparently paired with Cowen at practice.

Goodie Wilson says that The Giller will likely get Game 1 anyhow.

I think The Giller is supposed to be more proficient at the style the coach wants to play vs. the Rags.

Fair enough, didn't realize we were going for the "Bumble Diddle" style though.

I think they want to outskate the Rags but we'll see how Game 1 shakes out.

Man this is really exciting!! I can't wait for this series to get underway. I picked the Rangers to take it in 7, but if Anderson sees a lot of rubber we could have a much better chance, he thrives when he sees lots of shots. I think this is going to be a very close, emotional series. I can't wait for the Tortorella soundbites too, lots of entertainment to come. Ahhhhh!

Laughing3 so true, and actually quite frightening. That guy can lose us a game all by himself. Not a fan of him playing in any of the games, big mistake, IMO.

Prove me wrong "oh boy Gilroy" please.

Remember though, we're already playing with house money here, they're most certainly not. Can't even put into words how much more pressure that is on them.
