Perhaps I was asking the question to see if the word was properly used in this case?

If you split that word in two it's JUST ICE. Coincidence? Vertigo

I'll wait and see what wprager has to say about the use of the word "coincidence" in this instance before I agree or disagree. Wouldn't want to appear foolish.

The dictionary definition of the word coincidence is: the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have some connection.

So, no, not coincidence. Actually, a lot of things I once thought were coincidences can't be considered coincidences given this Webster's definition. My world is crumbling. Knowledge is weakness. Ignorance is bliss.

Wow. If Paul Martin doesn't play that's one seriously banged up team in all areas except goaltending.

From Dave Molinari: BREAKING: James Neal, who has broken foot, is on ice for the Penguins' game-day skate. No word on whether prognosis/diagnosis has changed.

I choose to ignore your Webster's definition and take an Alanis Morrisette approach in terms of making my own definitions as it suits my purpose.

I recommend hitting his foot repeatedly if he decides to play. TwoThumbsUp!

Also from Molinari: Penguins forward Craig Adams, who hurt a knee Sunday, also is on the ice at Consol Energy Center.

Nothing that a two-hander to the knee area can't fix. Beer

Neal or no Neal, this is a winnable game or the Sens. They'll need to cover Malkin like a blanket, but what else is knew. Should be a good one. Go Sens!

And with victory comes JUSTICE.

What I'd like to see is Malkin covered with a blanket of stick blows resulting in injury. Beer

Thank you, Mr. Science! Beer

I was saving myself from the inevitable screen-punch that would have resulted if Prags had responded correcting the use of "coincidency". And, you're welcome!!

Excellent pre-emptive strike by you. That poor bastard who incorrectly used the term "law of averages" is still feeling the sting I'm sure.

The problem here is that we'll likely have Karlsson matched up against Malkin, and Karlsson is far too nice to hurt anyone...his one flaw.

Also, apparenlty Johnson might be the starter tonight, which means we should start Auld, just so Anderson doesn't get his face caved in when the inevitable goalie fight breaks out.
