There are guys who are 'safe' players, and Boroweicki is one of those guys.

He did a bit of running around, looking for a hit, before. Cowen was an iceberg in the preseason -- huge and very cool. He's lost some of that in some of his shifts. Kuba, on the other hand, has played solidly.

Weber - Karlsson
Boyle - Seabrook
Doughty - Myers

Then we'd be REALLY screwed. Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh!
Oh man. Worst. D. Ever.

This is just killing us having to 'try things out' we shouldn't have to try anything out, things should be pretty much set in stone by now. It's not going to help with chemistry by playing the Clouston game already.

12 pre-season games??? That is insanity. Our team is supposed to struggle and it's still fairly new (as in players) so it's expected that they'll take time to gel, not just preseason. I get the frustration though, I feel that way too, but its reality unfortunately.

You guys are frustrated after 2 games?
I am probably the only guy in here who is ready to expect a lottery season Laugh1
Though I am still hopeful we make the playoffs.

well its frustrating watching our team go down 4-0 and 5-0 in consecutive nights. Its frustrating to see the defensive breakdowns by a veteran, not rookie. But I get that it comes with this territory and there's going to be some growing pains. They wouldn't call it that if you wouldn't get frustrated with what's happening on the ice.

Both being down by several goals going into the 3rd and fighting back in games to keep things interesting are clear signs of a young team. Once this team learns how to come out of the gate and minimize their mistakes in the defensive zone they will be a lot more competitive. Losing 5-3 to Detroit and 6-5 to Toronto the next night isn't the worst case scenario. I expect Ottawa to tighten up on D tonight and actually win this game 3-1.

It was great seeing Mike Babcock look at the scoreboard and see how much time was left in the game. The Sens are creating a lot of panic. I don't think teams will be taking them lightly this year.

Yep, he's already confirmed on SpringForm that he'll be watching the home opener from upstairs. I just hope Zibanejad has a hell of a game, as that surely would give Filatov something to shoot for.

Honestly, though, I think he is spending way too much answering questions on SpringForm. His mind is not on hockey.

Filatov looks way better on LW. They've mostly played him on RW and he doesn't look as good.

I like having Rundblad with Phillips, don't feel as scared.

That 4th line is a Wing Dang Doodle line, I wouldn't want to be the ones playing against them.

What has he been saying on SpringForm?

Stupid stuff, really. Karolina, Masha, lots of talk about various girls he may or may not know. I asked him if the Sens were going to give him a chance at left; his answer "don't know". He spends way more time than that thinking of answers to the stupid questions, yet you ask him something like this he either has a one-two word answer or doesn't answer at all (I asked him about what happened at practice and he never replied).

It's just that if you check the times of his replies he's on that thing way too much. I know he's probably got a mobile device and is not sitting in front of a computer, but he should be sleeping, eating, breathing, living hockey. And he isn't. Still in summer mode, I think.

Now, I don't follow many players (any, actually) but I see a lot of re-tweets from Joy. So I know a bit of how some players act in places like this, and they are primarily one-way (out) posts, or perhaps in reply to another player's tweet. This guy is reading and answering just about any question from fans.

Anyhow, I just said pretty much this to him -- you're spending too much time answering silly questions and not concentrating on hockey. Expecting a one-word reply.

Why are Neil *and* Konopka both in the lineup again? Is Minnesota supposed to be a hard team to play?

Because you need an equal number of LH and RH wingers and 4 ambidextrous Centers playing with a straight blade.

I don't think there's one player in the league that does that. Do you want them to go insane? Laugh1

Sounds like wprager wishes we hired Viktor Tikhonov as our new head coach in the off season Smile
