why is Gaborik in your lineup?

I don't believe the Gaborik rumours at all (Rags may still buy out Drury after all).

Filatov should play with Spezza, put him in a position to succeed and rack some points to get some confidence going. They can work on his 2-way play over time, he's not going to be Datsyuk at age 21.

I really don't think they meant "as 13th forward" when they said they'd give Filatov a chance.

I really can't see us making any major signing apart from backup goalie. Perhaps a depth signing but if that's the case, might as well keep Ryan Shannon.

I think he was a failure as a top-6 forward. Don't remember about the centre part. He's naturally a center and at the moment the sens are still thin at that front.

Filatov is a big wildcard, in my opinion. He could a top-line wing for the Sens, or in Russia. I don't know if Ottawa will be counting on him contributing or not...that's why I signed Kobasew. He can play 1st line, 2nd line, or 3rd line.

I don't think they'll sign any FAs beyond a backup goalie.

Too much/term to hand out. New CBA is coming with a (supposedly) lower cap. Best to stay flexible and screw over the team's cap situation Flames style.

For sure he is. Did he even play any hockey at all last season? I can't find 2010-11 stats for him anywhere.

I maintain that they should have qualified Potulny and, if nothing else, put him on a Keller-like deal in B-town. Even if he didn't make the big show, he was dynamite for them in the playoffs.

Shame about Bass. Bailey, meh.
