Hartsburg making return to NHL

Lots of talk out there that Craig Hartsburg will be leaving Everett of WHL to return to NHL bench, likely alongside Brent Sutter in CGY.

Thought it deserved its own thread. Hartsburg was shockingly bad for Ottawa, but maybe as an assistant coach he can be okay.

Assistant coaches don't get any attention so in the end it won't matter if he sucks or not, most likely.

I thought Sutter got fired, I must be mixing it up with the GM, but I can't understand how HC Sutter still has a job.

Hartsburg was such a bizarre choice, he sucked as HC in Anaheim and Chicago. I guess BM doesn't care much about a coach's record during interviews. Or Eugene wanted him hired as I've heard in places, Hartley was probably a better choice if deBoer walked away.

Calgary started playing better the moment the other Sutter got fired (supposedly he was backseat coaching as well).
