Real or not, it's still a pretty good design for a patch obviously, not as a main logo. But i could see this on hats and t-shirts

It's the blind leading the blind. What they need is a real marketing / design team who knows what they're doing. I.e., professionals who know that big, naked, happy Spartans ranting incoherently for a full 2-3 minutes isn't a really good way to sell a hockey team.

The average, for any team, is generally stupid. Casual hockey fans in general are stupid when it comes to hockey. I trust their opinion on these matters even less than I do their hockey opinions.

No, I keep forgetting -- Os and 0s don't look anything alike. It's highly unlikely that the fans of 29 other teams and a hostile media won't have the capacity to connect those two radically different symbols in ways that demean the organization.

I have a few friends who run a design company. All they do is laugh at the ineptness of the Sens marketing and design people -- and these are casual Ottawa Sens fans we're talking about here.
