Not saying he's small but he's like 10 lbs heavier than RNH with the same height and RNH plays more physical. I would say Lando is the only one of the 3 that has a size advantage.

Even worse, Cussing Nashville looks like they are on their way to a point at least, and Edmonton and Colorado are losing.

This is a watered down version of the late season Leafs surge we are all so fond of laughing at.

To be fair I don't think Melnyk et al. could have anticipated that late round picks Greening and Condra would have such a positive impact. I mean when you are tanking you get rid of the Vets and fill in with rookies and they did that. Anderson was super human and considering his season before his arrival that too couldn't have been expected. This team is relying on Brian Lee, Karlsson, and Hale on the back end and they're also relying on Butler, Greening, Condra, Shannon, and Neil pretty heavily and Alfie is out. What more could they do. They even have Lessard up. Should they have picked up a crappier goalie on waivers? Send Condra and Greening back down because they're too good right now? Find someone else that won't allow Spezza to be over a point a game? Maybe call up Benoit and bench Lee?

It's the goaltending. If we still had Elliott we wouldn't be winning these games. In fact, I would hazard a guess and say we wouldn't have won more than a game or two since the deadline if we hadn't traded for Anderson. We were tanking just fine. I understand the Anderson trade, but I also think it's the biggest reason why we will not be finishing any lower than 28th now. Sherman is looking like a genius at this point. Trade away a goaltender for an even crappier one.

Still, if Anderson re-signs, then I am fine with this, I just have my doubts whether he will or not, and if he doesn't this move could end up being a massive Diddle up on Murray's part.

I think with the trades Colorado did with Ottawa & St. Louis that they had full intention on tanking to get the #1 pick. How else can you explain it?
Anderson for Elliott? I know Anderson was not having his best season... but did they not see Elliott play this year. After all it was Colorado who contacted Murray first. I guess to do it this way with trades they can't be charged by the league by purposely blowing games to get 1st overall pick.
