I will settle for nothing less than an organic ketchup made from sundried tomatoes which I purchase in a quaint Glebe shoppe known as The Condimentary.

I don't mind Heinz. A little string of it on a hotdog; a spiral on the burger patty. I don't like it on pretty much anything else. A 1.5L bottle should last us at least 2 months, not 3 weeks.

And, like I said, half of it ends up in the dishwasher.

If you want to make them a little more economical in their application of ketchup, start scraping it off their plates back into the bottle. Once they see you do this, they may think twice before squirting out more than they need.

Spoken like someone who doesn't support an entire family, and someone who is a slave to brand advertising. Heinz actually bottles several "No Name" brands, such as SuperStore's brand. Truthfully, there is little difference in nearly all brands of ketchup in terms of taste.

In fact, the entire supermarket is basically dominated by a dozen or so corporations, but the "brands" are only there to give you the illusion of choice.

Yeah I've heard that one before, but it's just not true. You can tell the difference between Heinz and those other brands.

and c'mon, are you gona have a Coke/Pepsi or a PC Cola? The difference is huge and the lesser known brands taste like crap.

Of course you can tell the difference between SOME brands, but others you cannot. But to suggest it's Heinz or nothing proves that people like you are the reason they have a 75% market share in Canada.

And btw, not all lesser known brands taste like crap. I don't like PC Cola, but I do like RC Cola.
