All they are doing is saving money. If they are in Bingo, they get about 15% of their NHL pay.

I get that but if clouston is going to alternate and you got 2 healthy goalies in bingo land, why not just keep lehner up rather than shuffling him off to bingo for a start? My guess is that this isn't exactly a cap move and its pre-determined that elliott will start on tuesday
We don't on Brust's rights though, he's not on contract with us, only with the Binghamton Senators. That doesn't explain why Brodeur doesn't play down there, or come up as well. He must be injured or something, although he does back up Brust.

Both Brust & Brodeur had the flu. Lehner played with an Elmira call-up as backup.
let's hope they don't bring the flu back..

Brust is on a two-way between Bingo and Elmira. I don't think he was expected to play in Bingo this season. It was Brodeur & Lehner. But Brodeur got injured in the 1st game and was out for almost 3 mos. So Brust came up.. and has been lights out good.
Gee Leclaire got injured... leaving Elliott & Lehner as Brodeur was not healthy to play.
Sens would have to alter Brust's contract to get him up for a game. I don't know if they do that this season.. since Bingo is in a fight for a playoff spot and he is their best option in goal right now.
Imagine if it was the other way around and Brust was playing with the Elmira call-up? We'd have two goalies dressing on our farm team that aren't in our system. This has gotta stop.sandysensfan wrote:Michallica wrote:that still doesn't explain why he needs to keep being sent up and down for starts when they got Brust and Brodeur down in Bingo and we only have elliott up here

I don't think I'd call Brust up if he has to clear waivers, as Clutch mentioned, but they really need to get the guy under contract. I don't give a Diddle if he comes up, I just think we need some depth at what some consider to be a somewhat important position. (somewhat)

If he is an emergency call-up to replace an injury (a la Leclaire) then I don't think he has to clear waivers.

On that note. Where the F*** is Leclaire? He was only supposed to be out for a few days and it's been like months? Why are the Sens being so secretive about Leclaire? Is he on the next Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsay? Truly: What. The. Fnck.
