Scott MacArthur
Clouston on Lehner going up and down: "We don't have another goalie on a contract...We don't have a choice." #NYIslanders #Isles #NHL
This is getting silly. We need to fix our goalie depth asap.spader wrote:This is annoying:

Sign Brust already. We have ZERO goaltending depth.

Erixon is a two-way defenceman.
I had to Google them to find out.
Lehner played yesterday so that explains this series of up/down...Michallica wrote:that still doesn't explain why he needs to keep being sent up and down for starts when they got Brust and Brodeur down in Bingo and we only have elliott up here

I get that but if clouston is going to alternate and you got 2 healthy goalies in bingo land, why not just keep lehner up rather than shuffling him off to bingo for a start? My guess is that this isn't exactly a cap move and its pre-determined that elliott will start on tuesday

Intriguing player anyway with 49 points in 46 games with the SEL this season.

2nd in the SEL, and teammate to Rundblad.
Could this be Anders Forsberg giving us a tip?
Perhaps Brodeur is injured not sure. Or they're just trying to get Lehner as many starts as possible anywhere. It's going to start taking a toll soon if this continues.Bass Destruction wrote:Michallica wrote:shabbs wrote:Lehner played yesterday so that explains this series of up/down...Michallica wrote:that still doesn't explain why he needs to keep being sent up and down for starts when they got Brust and Brodeur down in Bingo and we only have elliott up here

We don't on Brust's rights though, he's not on contract with us, only with the Binghamton Senators. That doesn't explain why Brodeur doesn't play down there, or come up as well. He must be injured or something, although he does back up Brust.
