Oop, sorry dude.
Anyway, don't get nostalgic for a guy who was lying to everybody. I can lie to you nicely, too, if that's what you want.

Spezza bashing? LOL. This is what I'm talking about, ironically. I refuse to call the guy one of the best Cs in the league, and it's called bashing. You know there's a middle ground between calling someone the Lord & Saviour and Satan Himself, right? It's that space we all occupy.
Anyway, if you want to talk to Notch, you'll find him on the Dobber boards. But he was never, ever a professional goalie. He might have played as a kid / amateur tho', for all I know, but he certainly wasn't the real Roche.
Notch told me last year that we had a deal in place for Seidenberg haha
You mean for Spezza? LOL. This is a joke, right?

Except the fact he was totally talking out of his Donkey the entire time. Anyone can look at any goaltender as say "he's angle's look perfect, he's a beautiful goaltender" and chances are most people would agree because they don't have a clue either.

I had him on ignore for a long while.

Oh, you were talking to me for sure. Does it bug you that when I talked about Spezza and what he was to become I was pretty much right?

What was he to become exactly?

A number 1 center on an average to bad team that needs players that are better than him to produce at a PPG pace. He also has shown he has a big problem making others around him better.
He's not worth his 7 mil, that's clear. But he's a player Ottawa would be looking for during a rebuild to fill the number 1 center role. He isn't a PPG player and like I said, his stats were inflated playing with 2 of the top 5 wingers in the game when he broke in.
Maybe a top 15 center, def not top 10. Would play 2nd fiddle to a lot of other centers who are on contending teams. Works hard for the most part and has turned into a much better 2 way player but some offense was lost. The Spezza today is better than the Spezza of last year but he still is what he is.

I'm sure Bobby B. is doing it all on his own. You see a guy pretty much done developing and will be what you describe above. I personally see a guy showing he can be more than a point producer who is starting to show he can make players better, can play in all situations and can still put up points. I also see exactly what Alfie and Donovan have both publicly stated about the guy. I'll defer to them for an evaluation on what Spezza will become.

You make it sound like Spezza touched the puck when Butler scored last night. Was he even on the ice?
Like I said, I like Spezza's game this year than I have in the past for reason's I have stated. Butler scoring has very little to do with Spezza. Don't make things up.
NEELY wrote:I don't even know what your point is here. Spezza literally had nothing to do with 3 of Butler's 5 goals to this point.

So he's been involved in 40% of Butler's goals?
