You are an imposter. There is no way that N4L would call Spezza a number 1 centre.
HA HA!

What the? you're back now? haha that didn't take long.

Where's the '4life' part? Not impressed :crossarms: It's the equivalent to the 'SNES' on a jersey

8 months I guess, haha. I said I would be back when Roche/Straight Shooter/Notch was gone and I am a man of my word. It was sickening to watch and read what CR was saying knowing exactly who it was.

The trash has been taken out though, so no worries. Glad to be back.

Pretty straight forward right there.

You are an imposter. There is no way that N4L would call Spezza a number 1 centre.

Opinions are the products of circumstance; that means they're going to change as circumstances change.

Only a fool would deny that Spezza isn't doing more & playing a better all around game this year, even if the O isn't there. I've said this to SD on a number of occasions. Is he a top 5 or 10 C in the league right now, tho'? Hell no. But he's taking baby steps in the right direction.

It's amazing what you learn about people opinions when you listen to them instead of type-casting them and treating them like historical relics.

Oops, sorry. I get typecast on this issue a lot, is all. I'm not a Spezza hater; I'm a former diehard fan, in fact -- N4L will certainly remember that, LOL -- who was really disappointed with his play for a long time. I would have preferred to see him traded 2 years ago, but that time has come and gone, and that talk no longer makes any sense, which is what I said leading up to 1 July 2010, and what I have maintained since. After moving Fisher, it makes less sense than ever, in fact. Now we need to support and insulate him, and we need to give him the guidance he needs, because he's ours for better or worse. And he has made baby steps in the right direction this year -- better FOs, PKing, more interested in the play away from the puck. I want to believe, but I'm not naive enough to say that he's there yet or that he's put it all together, because he hasn't. He has a ways to go, and as long as we can acknowledge that, then there is no source of disagreement.

I haven't seen it official yet anywhere, not a bad risk though if I say so.

Edit Chirps got it, I am just behind the times Laughing3

I still don't think he's the number 1 center on a contender. If Ottawa does become a contender I would bet a guy like RNH has over taken him for that spot.

That's assuming Ottawa drafts a guy like RNH. Dorion has already said the guy they pick will be in the NHL making an impact next season. Is RNH that guy?

Agreed. We can also assume that Spezza would have no impact on Ottawa becoming a contender in order for NPH to take over that spot, provided Ottawa becomes a contender in spite of Spezza.

Assume, we are back to the Spezza bashing. So much better than insightful opinions on goaltending though.
