Cap'n Clutch wrote:The problem is how many decent, at the time trades, and signings that go wrong does a GM get before he's moved? The hindsight is 20/20 argument is part of life as a GM. We praise him for things that have gone well and say well at the time they were good so just because things went bad it doesn't really matter. I personally love what Murray has done this season under the circumstances and I love how he's drafted and what he's done with the college route but I'm not giving him a complete mulligan just because the trades looked good at the time and now are turning out to be horrible.

I think it's time to move on with a new GM but keep Murray on as a consultant.

I think if his nephew Tim is promoted to GM, he will stay on as a consultant, but I have a hard time seeing that happening if Melnyk brings a new guy in.

Again with the coach, it's all about bringing in the teacher. If The Sens can resign Anderson than there are 3 very key pieces in place that rebuilding teams NEVER have.

Number 1 center, number 1 goaltender, true captain. Everything else is being built. Sens have a step up on a lot of teams. They are also building their back end first which will be key down the line.

Funny thing is, since the day The Sens traded for Anderson they have no gained a single point on any team in The NHL, just shows you how hard it will be to get out of the basement considering they have some teams fighting for playoff spots coming up or teams that are flat out better.

Yeah. One of those Hockey Canada lifers would be nice for sure. Is George Kingston still alive? Andy Murray maybe?

I think Clouston's odds are improving. Most likely he is gone but I can see a 1 year contract and they bring in a former head coach to be his 'associate coach'.

Looks like Clouston might have this team in hand with some big personalities out of the picture.

The complaint against Clouston is the performance of the big money vets on this team (Kovalev, Fisher, Kuba, etc.). They are 3-1-1 since trades began (against awful teams though).

I have no idea where the next coach should come from, if it's hockey Canada then it's hockey Canada. Muller may indeed be the next big thing in The NHL, that could mean he is ready to take over a team like The Caps and make them a Cup champ, doesn't mean he is the right guy to build a young team from the ground up. You need a guy in there that can get the most out of a young team and at the same time teach them the game.

Maybe we can convince Jacque Martin to come back and then get canned when we're ready to compete for a cup. Wink Seriously though a guy like Jacque would be the coach we should get.

Randy Cunneyworth. He's done really well at the AHL level prepping guys for the NHL both for Buffalo and the Habs. He's my top choice.

They lost against their share of awful teams too. I find it hard to believe that a guy who was praised for "outcoaching Lemaire" suddenly sucks.

Cunnyworth is probably a good choice but again, I don't know all the in's and outs of exactly what The Sens are looking for. Like Cap just said as well, Martin would probably be the exact coach I would think they need going forward. Attention to detail and learning the game is exactly what he is about.

From Scott MacArthur: Robin Lehner hobbled off ice at the end of Sens practice. No word on his condition. Anderson took a maintenance day.

You are an imposter. There is no way that N4L would call Spezza a number 1 centre.

Neil won't make the trip to Buffalo. He is day-to-day and could play Saturday.

What the? you're back now? haha that didn't take long.

Where's the '4life' part? Not impressed :crossarms: It's the equivalent to the 'SNES' on a jersey
