If EJ explodes as expected (big if at this point) St-Louis will look ridiculous. I expect him to improve enough to make the Blues look silly regardless of the return (and no EJ and Shatty aren't close at this point in time).

Stewart and Shattenkirk as the return is basically 'as good as it gets'. If EJ wins a Norris, then the Blues will look silly, but at least they'll have a 30 or even 40 goal guy + a 35 point D-man as the return, right?

They traded Stewart, pretty evident they wand Landeskog now.
COL - Landeskog
EDM - Larsson
OTtawa - RNH
Edmonton, get the Diddle off
"2 NHL GM's, who have a very good chance of ending up in the NHL draft lottery have said they would take the Red Deer Rebel first overall."This I have from a very good and credible scouting source. Another high placed scout thought if RHN reached the 30 goal mark it would be enough to convince whoever has the first overall pick to take him.

Im pretty sure that's debatalble. We have 0 center prospects, Pierre DOrion and Tim Murray will take SKills and vision over everything (Karlsson over COlborne ,Rundblad over the average big forwards last year and they had Jaden Shwartz high ont heir lit), an Zibanejad from what I've heard is a poor man's Landeskog that can bring some of hte things we need.NEELY wrote:Ottawa drafts Landeskog, I don't think there is a whole lot of doubt about it to be honest.

TO be honest, I don't see where we're gonna get a 1st line center in the next 5 years. whereas Landeskog you can find one in the middle of the rounds (RIchards/Giroux/Perry...). I mean seriously:
- Crosby
- Malkin
- Stamkos
- Tavares
- H Sedin
- Spezza
- Thornton
- Toews
The most skilled centers and usually the leading scorers, and most of them are MVPs on their team. Not saying all, but most are drafted top 5.
I love Landeskog as anyone else here, but I wouldn't build my offense around him in arguably the only opportunity we'll have in the next 5 years to draft a 1st line center. I think this Landeskog thing just magnified by him being Swedish, the media, the team he plays in and all the intangibles.
