Best case I see, if everything goes right, is that the Nashville pick ends up somewhere in the 10-14 range, and to get to 6-7 it would pretty much require the Nasville pick and 2 of the 3 second round picks we have... dp we want to do that in a draft supposed to be deep in the first 2 rounds? I'd say we get Zibanejad, Jensen or Armia at 10-14 is a better option.
Also, I heard some teams have Strome at number 2, which is gonna be hard to deal with
I love Huberdeau too, I think he and Strome will be 1st liners.

Craig's List is ok, but having Murphy over Couturier is short-sighted. Murphy's game might not translate to the NHL.

I was thinking Nashville + our 2nd rounder to get into the top 10 and select one of those guys. Don't want to throw a high 2nd out the window, but getting two top 10s is a big step forward obviously.

Maybe he meant the Sens when he said "they"? Or maybe "winning" could just mean moving up the max # of places.

Any team in the bottom 14 can technically 'win' the lottery, I believe -- where 'winning' = moving up 4 spaces. The bottom 5 teams, however, have the best odds of moving up. The last place team has something like a 1/4 chance of winning, whereas the 14th place team has something like a 1/200 chance of winning.

Either way, every team that misses can win the lotto. Only 5 teams can draft 1st overall though.

Islanders are pounding the Blues right now, only 2-0, should be 4-0. Ottawa will not be catching The Islanders in the standings. Florida is a bigger threat.
