You know what they say: "Fluff not, lest ye be fluffed." True story.

A stupid one on HFB

If the Oilers take a forward, their fans will kill themselves.

Man.
That's hard to take.
Gotta think of the rebuild...

Top-four being Larsson, RNH, Landeskog and Couturier? I'd say Landeskog is a good candidate to replace Alife. Right wing - check. Carries the team on his shoulders - check. Swedish - check. On the other hand, with Fisher gone we are going to be in desperate need of a center.

Have we all but given up on Regin to become a 2nd line centre? I'd like to see him get a really nice shot (like the rest of the season) at centre on the 2nd line. Hell, it's not like his production is going down any.

Interesting. I find myself not drawn to Couturier the way I was earlier in the year. Not sure why. I'd put him as my least favourite, but what do you like about Couturier that makes you say that?
wprager wrote:I guess. For a guy listed as 6'2"/205 he plays a lighter game than, well, Spezza. Do we really want our 1-2 punch down the middle being those two? Maybe Regin needs to hit the gym this summer, work on his legs, upper body, core strength -- the works.

reason being Landeskog is 6' -210lbs and NHL ready, and would fit on the Left Wing with Spezza. He is also Sweedish and Alfie could mentor Landeskog, Omark, Karlsson, and Rundblad for the next tear or so until he retires.
Michalek Spezza Landeskog
Alfie Regin Omark
Foligno Kelly Neil
O'brien Winchester Smith
Butler
Gonchar Karlsson
UFA(Alberts) Rundblad
Campoli Cowen
Carkner
UFA (Schneider pleeeease)
Lehrner
I could watch that for a year, pick up another top 5 pick in 2012 draft, then get two more UFA's (Sharp, Stoll) and we are back in contention. No one messes with the young guys with Neil, Alberts, Carkner and Cowen in the lineup. Two year turn around.
