PS - boy would I ever not want to be the first seed in the East if the Devils manage to make 8th. Whew, I think they can shutdown almost anyone these days - and that includes the Flyers and the Bruins.

People feel better after that one? The Sens are not going to catch Colorado and will have a tough time catching both Florida and NYI. Ottawa has a better chance and drafting first than 4th or 5th. Landeskog will be a Senator come July 24th.

Anyways, 17 left and there is not much of a chance they play better than 500 hockey

Not sure how legit is Senschirp but apparently he said on a live blog that the Sens scouts aren't very high on Couturier, but love Landeskog, RNH, and especially Ryan Strome. MMh, love that if true

Best case I see, if everything goes right, is that the Nashville pick ends up somewhere in the 10-14 range, and to get to 6-7 it would pretty much require the Nasville pick and 2 of the 3 second round picks we have... dp we want to do that in a draft supposed to be deep in the first 2 rounds? I'd say we get Zibanejad, Jensen or Armia at 10-14 is a better option.
Also, I heard some teams have Strome at number 2, which is gonna be hard to deal with
I love Huberdeau too, I think he and Strome will be 1st liners.

Best case scenario, yes, I think so. I think Murray would have to make quite the deal to move that far up from 12-14 to 6-9. Good call though.

Craig's List is ok, but having Murphy over Couturier is short-sighted. Murphy's game might not translate to the NHL.

The best case is Nashville missing the playoffs and they 'win' the lottery.
