I'm going to disagree with you on that one Dr. Poo. I think that Spezza has come a long way this year. It's too bad he's hurt. I can't blame him for that however.

true, but I think Fish is a UFA the same time Alfie's contract runs out.....and I don't see us re-signing him to be honest nor do I foresee alfie playing past his contract

That's fair. I think there's a chance that he gets resigned, though likely at a discount compared to his current contract. I was really just throwing out what seemed like a possibility.

Not if there are parameters to it. Like Spezza being 1C, _______ being 2C and Fisher, Kelly and Neil heading up an expensive, but effective 3rd line. At 3 million and as a 3rd line C who can fill in in an emergency, I'm sure we'd all be on board, right?

Well i'm of the opinion that we should be trading fish but only if the return is high like a 1st. If not we can keep him and judging from his play and if he faces more injury his value in dollar might go down. One thing is sure with fish, he wants to stay in ottawa. So you could get him at 3x3 i would think. I think that whatever phillips gets as an extention will be a good judge of whats to come.
