I really want another first rounder in the 15-25 area. I've looked into some of the guys even further today and love what I see from them.

We can add all the 3rd and 4th rounders we want for our garbage but we need top-six potential for our forwards and there are some real intriguing guys out there.

Pat Kane with (seemingly) better intangibles.

Although I think the guy you're referring to is way closer to Duchene then Kane (although I love Kane, so the comparison makes me smile).

I personally think it's pretty obvious. You either get a top line of Landeskog - Spezza - Michalek next season, or the status quo. NPH will not step in next season and will be behind Spezza, and possibly Fisher when he finally does step in. Unless he gets converted to wing.

Doesn't matter, if the Sens want RNH as the 2nd line center, then Fisher will be there next year, dealt the summer after next and that's that ! Lalalala

My goodness....what can you say to that?

I wish we could have 2 top 5 picks so we could have him and Landeskog.

I wouldn't bet on it Spez. We still might end up with a good player in 3 or 4 years but I personally like the addition of an immediate impact player.

I will settle for having a second first round pick, lots of offensive talent if you look close enough Smile

I like that idea as well, but I was never really counting on it. I'm hoping we can make two or three really solid trades for wingers and not have to rely on a 19 year old - although, I admit, Landeskog is ready. So is RNH I heard, is he not? Maybe too small.

Anyway, I certainly wouldn't let the Fisher thing dissuade you from taking RNH, at some point he'll either be moved, or re-signed for less so he can be 3rd line C.

If we're not signing him, that's what Phillips is for - a nice 1st rounder in the 22 range. Add in Kuba and maybe we can have an extra 2nd rounder to move up with if need be. Ruutu = a third I hope. We can get one more 1st if the new GM plays his cards right - or Murray.

Or Fisher, he'd net you a 1st+.

I just think that you're stuck then trying to find big wingers for RNH and you already need better wingers for Spezza. Just digging a hole so to speak. That's just the way I see it. Mostly going with my gut on this too.

If you ask me:
Option 1:

I'd take Landeskog + another 20-30 highly skilled more risky forward (catenacci/zibanejad for instance)

Option 2:

Take the most skilled RNH + another big guy with less potential but more ready in the 20-30.

EIther way, we need a sniper + a center.

Big LW who can score and step into the NHL now? We don't need him.

I think Larsson is the cream of the crop and Landeskog is the next best player AND the best fit for this team. The rest I have little interest in, quite frankly.

I hear you man, there's no need for him here. 2011 NHL Entry Draft Watch - Page 7 159628

He is the cream of the crop (Larsson) we don't need him though obviously. I mean, it wouldn't hurt, but it wouldn't help our situation right now either.

Also agreed on your last statement. Landeskog is the only one for us. WE HAVE TO GET HIM, no matter what it takes. WE have to move up!!! 2011 NHL Entry Draft Watch - Page 7 805406 2011 NHL Entry Draft Watch - Page 7 805406 2011 NHL Entry Draft Watch - Page 7 235689

Yeah. As I posted before, I'm in favour of moving up for Landeskog or moving down. I find that the possibilities are more intriguing in the later spots and that we could potentially multiply our picks for some of those players, or add a late 1st + a 1st in 2012... that sort of thing.

Landeskog is where it's at. He brings everything to the table. I'm on record (twice now) as saying my loins ache for this kid to be in the Sens lineup. Ahhhhh!

Did you guys see that shift by RNH? Pfff ridiculous, I don't take Landeskog over that, as Pierre would say, "off the charts" hockey sense.

Overall tons of skilled guys in this game. Catenacci with blazing speed and St-Louis esque release. Strome, Lessio, Jurco, Jensen, Couturier... all look pretty good.

Great game so far, let me re-phrase; lots of skill on display.

That Strome dude may be a worthy grab if we don't end up with a lottery pick and drop a bit...
