Well I will lean towards the opinion of his actual league over an analyst like Bob Mckenzie.

Actually, no I won't. Bob Mckenzie is reliable. Like I said, I wouldn't care if we draft Huberdeau instead. I don't think we will get a shot at Couturier anyway.

This is where I totally disagree with what your opinion may be based on. The Q sucks and is easily the worst league of the 3 where you kids can dominate at the age of 16. Like I said, Esposito did the same thing and it was all the same talk his first year out of The Q. I think Couturier is more tallented and will have an NHL career to be sure, but the situations and circumstances are exactly the same.

1) Read my next post

2) His peers voted for this award I believe, so I don't think it matter if the league sucks. my point is his peers voted for him over Huberdeau for top prospect

3) Espositio fell to 20. That won't happen to SC who is the whole package. Not the same situations or circumstances.

4) Here's a good blog article about SC: http://www.coppernblue.com/2011/4/8/2097987/the-case-for-sean-couturier-at-1

It is exactly the same circumstance right now. You are saying it isn't the same because it won't happen. Not that I think Couturier would fall below 10th anyways, but it's not a certainty.

What is certain is they were both 16 year old super stars in The Q. Both were over rated as 16 year olds because there we no real comparibles, and both were surpassed in their draft years by superior players because in the other leagues 16 year olds don't get the ice time or line mates to really produce or play at a level similar to those kids in the Q.

His peers voting him over Humberdeau means nothing as Huberdeau is on a very good St.Johns team. They would be fine without him.

Either way, I wouldn't take the word of 17 year old kids in a semi professional league over guys who evaluate talent for a living and bring in the best players possible to their organizations.

Again, like Marak said, Bobby Mac's rankings are the closet thing to being bang on. Go with those.

Interesting tidbit. Bryan Murray traded for Sean Couturier's father Sylvain when he was Detroit's GM.

We have only the NYI game left to determine our final placing.

Assuming we finish 25th(5th last), the potential draft positions and probabilities are:
Draft 1st- 8.1%, 2nd or 3rd or 4th-0%, 5th-74.7%, 6th-17.2%

However if NYI win and pass us so we finish 26th, the probs are:
Draft 1st-10.7%, 2nd or 3rd-0%, 4th-66.7%, 5th-22.6%

Go Islanders go!

Philly scores 16 seconds into the game. Then again, a half minute later. 47 second in and the Isles were down 0-2. But wait, with 6 minutes to go in the 1st it's 3-3 Smile
