Watched Source Code last night. WTH? I'll
spoilerize the rest of the post.
- Spoiler:
You have one guy reliving the last 8 minutes of another dead guy's life because, apparently, the brain has a live-TV capture buffer good enough for 8 minutes. OK, fine. So even though there was a huge explosion that killed everyone on the train, this one particular guy's brain could still be harvested for the 8 minute buffer. Whatever. But this is the part that annoys me -- the hero of the story is able to do a heck of a lot more than just investigate all that this guy's brain registered. He interacts with others on the train, goes to the washroom and climbs up to find the bomb, goes to another car, even leaves the train. WTH? They "blame" it all on quantum physics but, I'm sorry, either you use the dead guy's brain and memories a la "The Cell" where you can explore to your heart's content -- but are limited to only what the guy's brain observed and recorded; or you can use quantum physics to go back in time a la "Deja Vu" or "Timeline". Here they try to sort of mix the two together and, sorry, at least for me it almost ruins the film.
