Watched the last two episodes of S1 last night. I also copied all 10 episodes for a co-worker on Friday. When I came over today to tell him I finally finished he said "Me too". He watched all 10 over the weekend! I don't know how he did it as he's got 4 kids, too.

Anyhow, we have dragons! And RIP "Boromir".

2011. It aired on Showcase 2 years ago (available in "Better" or "VIP" packages). Statute of limitation, man.

Game of Thrones has gotta be my favourite show on TV currently. It's too bad the seasons are short...I could go for 20 episode seasons.

Just because you don't care doesn't mean everyone else is the same  Facepalm

EDIT: Book was out in 1996. Should I have spoiled it as soon as the show came out too?

I'm not sure if Ev (or LeKing, for that matter) are being ironic or if this is real outrage. I'm "spoiling" what happened on a show, described by most as the best-ever, three seasons ago. There was lots discussed here a while back about Breaking Bad -- I've never seen a single episode and I didn't complain. And the spoilers were from the latest season, too.

The "MAJOR BREAKING BAD SPOILERS" tag was added to this thread title, sure, but this isn't a thread about just one show. Maybe we should change it to say "MAJOR SPOILERS FOR SHOWS > 3 SEASONS".

I'm a bit of a fantasy-geek myself (although I stopped reading it long ago)...needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the Lord of the Rings movies, and this new show sounds quite interesting, if not a bit confusing to those not familiar with the books.

So I haven't seen this yet, but I will be watching it soon and I'll report back.  Fantasy is one genre that never really gets its due on film or, especially, on TV, so I have high hopes.

Oh, and apparently there's lots of boobies.

So this show was pretty good.  A lot of characters/info packed into the first episode, but the production values are fantastic, and the actors were all good.  And there was indeed some boob action.

A look back on the humble beginnings Smile

There's a spoiler tag you can put on in these posts.

It's easy enough for me to do, so anyone can do it Smile

The quality of GoT has, if anything, gone up from that first season, if possible. It helps that Dany has become an asskicker.

No, wait, that was Mr. Burns.

I disagree personally. I thought season 1 was absolutely mind blowing - and there was really nowhere to go but down. It's still awesome, but that first season...

Apparently in the books Dany was 13 at the start. Yikes! And Robb was something like 14.

Of course the life expectancy was probably around 40, so if you had not managed to become the Khaleesi or unite a couple of kingdoms to wage war on a much more powerful enemy by the time you were in your mid-teens then you were probably a stable hand.

Still, explains why she had so much trouble riding a horse after her wedding night.

Yeah, you might be right. I think it was mind blowing at the time because we hadn't really seen a show like it before. Regardless, it's been really, really consistent. It's a genre show based on books done right...if only HBO could've done The Walking Dead.

yeah, and Sansa is 11, Arya is 8 etc...
Everyone is 3 years older on the show because they say sex scenes with 13 year old girls on TV would be kinda hardcore, HBO or not Laugh1

BTW Brace yourselves people, the real season 4 begins this sunday. It's time to get serious. It's gonna be mind blowing for the last 5 episodes Naughty
